Haitian Educators Association of Palm Beach Scholarship

The Haitian Educators Association of Palm Beach (HEA) is a group of Haitian professionals who are willing to help Palm Beach County students achieve their goal of higher education.  All candidates must demonstrate academic excellence, have strong leadership qualities, and display involvement within the community.  Scholarship recipients must provide proof of college acceptance and a first-semester class schedule for funds to be approved and distributed. The scholarship award ranges from $500 to $1,000, and there are multiple scholarships for which students can apply. The official selection date is April 28, 2022, and winners should be announced soon after that date. The completed application and requirements must be postmarked or delivered no later than Monday, April 4th, 2022.

Students are required to meet the following criteria:

  • First-generation Haitian student, residing in Palm Beach County
  • Minimum GPA 3.2
  • Graduations ready
  • Updated resume highlighting school & community accomplishments
  • Official high school transcript
  • Acceptance to a higher educational, vocational, or technical facility
  • TWO letters of recommendation from teachers, supervisions, or community leaders
  • A completed submission essay
  • Virtual interview
