2022 PBL Pathfinder Finalist!

Alexandra Madrid, Student Writer

Recently, four seniors from Palm Beach Lakes High School were selected to represent Lakes in the 2022 Palm Beach Post Pathfinder Scholarship program. Pathfinders is a scholarship program for Palm Beach and Martin County. Each year, hundreds of students are hand-selected by school counselors to apply for one of eighteen categories, and the best of the best (1st, 2nd, and 3rd place) are chosen from each. Whoever wins 1st place wins will receive a $3,000 scholarship that they can use towards any college of their choice.

This year’s PBL Pathfinder nominees are Haniel Louijuste Perez (Art), Jhessicka Hilaire (Drama), Janelle Thomas (Academic Excellence), and Issachar Saint-Cyr (Music–Instrumental). Being nominated by the school is a huge accomplishment, in and of itself; anything beyond that is a cherry on top.

Congratulations to these four students for excelling in and qualifying for their individual categories! Out of the four, Issachar Saint-Cyr was named a Pathfinder finalist and granted an interview with the category judges. On May 13th, all of the winners–1st, 2nd, and 3rd place–will be announced. No matter what happens, the C/O ’23 affirms that LAKES is, indeed, on TOP!
